Three Sri Lankans started something new, a world-first initiative in pursuit of a sustainable future – “ecosnapping”

Picking up litter while engaging in Wildlife Photography is called Ecosnapping.

Sarath, Sohan and Dr Sahan have pledged that going forward whenever they do Wildlife or Nature Photography, they will also spend a little more time in that given location picking up litter. They have started it already by ecosnapping in Colombo wetlands and also at national parks. They are looking at getting more pledges.

They believe the biggest problem is that people assume the Government, corporates, individuals or someone else will clean the mess, and so nobody does anything. The assumption of someone else doing it is the biggest problem.

They are inviting all Wildlife and Nature Photographers to be a part of the solution, not the problem by engaging in ecosnapping

As Sarath has stated previously, don’t hope for change, change for hope. So start ecosnapping.
