Elephant Reach, Yala celebrates 10th anniversary
Elephant Reach, one of the first hotels to set the standards of luxury accommodation and world-class service in Yala, is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
The hotel first opened its doors to guests on 29 March 2006, under the management of Lanka Hotels & Resorts Ltd. In celebration of a decade of world class accommodation and service, the Elephant Reach team took part in an all-night ‘pirith’ ceremony followed by almsgiving to the Maha Sangha.
A tree planting campaign was held in line with the hotel’s sustainable tourism initiative. The entire team was then blessed by a Christian priest from the locality. The day’s celebrations were dedicated by the management of Lanka Hotels & Resorts to the hotel team to appreciate their good work and unwavering support.
This amazing milestone comes following a groundbreaking achievement by Elephant Reach, as the hotel was crowned Best Wildlife Resort (International) 2015 by Lonely Planet Magazine India. Starting off with 21 well-appointed chalets, Elephant Reach added 14 more over the last decade, to embrace more guests travelling to the region.
The hotel boasts an overall rating of 4/5 on Trip Advisor for outstanding service, value for money and top notch amenities. The hotel recently underwent a comprehensive refurbishment process. The coming months will see Lanka Hotels & Resorts expanding the property further to include more accommodation spaces and also giving Elephant Reach a complete facelift.
